New Delhi: Korean actor and pop idol IU generously donated to worthy charities to mark the occasion of her debut! Under the name IUAENA, which is a mix of IU and UAENA, IU contributed a total of 200 million won (about $145,000) on September 18, according to a post on their official Instagram account by EDAM Entertainment, IU’s management company (her official fan club name). She presented the Asan Foundation 100 million won (about $73,000) and the Seoul Metropolitan Child Welfare Association 100 million won.
Through EDAM Entertainment, IU shared, “With my UAENA, who has constantly presented big and small miracles for 15 years, I am sharing warmth again this year with a heart full of gratitude. As we confirmed in one place yesterday, I hope that our hearts will come together to bring another small miracle to someone. All the time I spent with UAENA for 15 years has been my golden hour. Thank you and I love you so much.”
IU is a renowned figure in Korean entertainment industry who has made a name for herself across the world. Aside from having a successful career as a soloist, IU has also been a part of critically acclaimed K-dramas including My Mister, Hotel Del Luna, Scarlett Heart Ryo, The Producers and Persona among others.
