Calling Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide as “a planned murder”, Kangana Ranaut has lashed out at several prominent personalities of the Hindi film industry in an interview with a TV channel. Taking a dig at Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra and Mahesh Bhatt, Kangana highlighted alleged discrimination in Bollywood by “movie mafia” which prompted Sushant to take his own life.
Kangana also added that these ‘movie mafia’ tried to ‘sabotage’ Sushant Singh Rajput’s career. She also accused Yash Raj Films(YRF) of harassing the late actor mentally, adding that they didn’t let Sushant work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s films.
The Manikarnika actor revealed that she was also threatened by Aditya Chopra for refusing to work with Salman Khan in Sultan and even told her that her “career is finished” while mentioning that she even contemplated suicide.
Pooja Bhatt had recently made a statement in which she said that Kangana was introduced in Bollywood Mahesh Bhatt. Kangana, on her part, said that it was Anurag Basu who spotted her talent. She also added that Bhatt has once thrown his footwear at her when she rejected to work with him.
Talking abour Swara Bhasker and Taapsee Pannu, Kangana in her interview said: “What I want to convey through this interview is… for me, I have only to lose here… because I know tomorrow they will get some 20 needy outsiders like Taapsee Pannu or Swara Bhasker who will get up and say, ‘Oh! Only Kangana has problems with nepotism. We love Karan Johar’. If you love Karan Johar, why are you both B-grade actresses? You are both better looking than Alia Bhatt and Ananya (Panday). You both are better actresses. Why don’t you get work? Your whole existence is proof of nepotism. What are you telling me about how happy you are with the industry?”
Taapsee Pannu took to twitter to react to Kangana’s remark and wrote: “Don’t be bitter, be better.”
Referring to Kangana’s B-grade actress remark, Taapsee in another tweet wrote that after classes 12 and 10, even their results are also out! Are we officially following the grade system too? Before this, we were graded on numbers, right, she added.
Swara also replied to Kangana’s statements and wrote that she took her word as compliments.
Sushant was found dead at his Bandra apartment on June 14. His death has sparked an extreme debate on nepotism. Ever since his death, Kangana has been fiercely addressing the issue while making some serious claims about the Hindi film industry.
