Kangana Ranaut Speaks About Becoming the Prime Minister

At a Mumbai event on Saturday, Kangana Ranaut released the teaser for Razakar: The Silent Genocide of Hyderabad, a Telugu film. The actor was questioned about her future aspirations to lead the nation as prime minister during the event. Then, Kangana made a joke about portraying the Prime Minister of India in her next movie, Emergency. Kangana plays the role of Indira Gandhi, the former Indian prime minister.

She also directed and produced the movie. Emergency is Kangana’s first feature film directed by her and it centers on the life of the late prime minister. Recently, Kangana said at an event, “I just did a film called Emergency. After watching that movie, nobody will want me as the Prime Minister.”

Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Vishak Nair, Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman, and the late Satish Kaushik are also featured in the movie. The release date of Emergency is June 14, 2024. November 24, 2023, was the original scheduled date of the movie’s theatrical debut.
