Kantara: Rishab Shetty’s Kantara is the next big hit from the Kannada film industry after KGF: Chapter 2. Not only in India, the film is finding appreciation in international markets as well and has now becomethe third highest-grossing Kannada film at the worldwide box office. The dubbed versions are giving a huge boost to the film and Kantara is now set to hit the 200 crore mark globally.

Kantara has been receiving rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. The film has become the highest-rated Indian film beating Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2.
Kantara’s dubbed versions in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu are also doing exceptionally well. The film’s Hindi version that was released in theatres on October 14, is also a blockbuster and going steady at the box office. According to reports, the Hindi version of the film film earned over Rs 1 crore on its sixth day. While the official numbers are still awaited, critics are of the view that the film is likely to have a long run in the theatres.

Kantara is a Kannada-language action thriller film written and directed by Rishab Shetty, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films. The film explores the conflict between man and nature. Kantara stars Rishab Shetty as a Kambala champion, who comes to loggerheads with an upright DRFO officer, Murali (Kishore). Achyuth Kumar and Sapthami Gowda feature in supporting roles.
Set and filmed in Keradi in coastal Karnataka, the film began in August 2021.
