Boycott calls against Pathaan
Her remarks come at a time when calls to boycott Shah Rukh Khan’s next release ‘Pathaan’ are trending on social media. At the centre of controversy is a song from the film ‘Besharam Rang’. Deepika Padukone is sporting an orange outfit in the song and critics say the saffron is sacred in Hinduism.
Boycott calls were also made during Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, which had Kareena Kapoor in an important role. This time critics were upset with Aamir Khan over his 2015 interview. In the interview Aamir was heard saying said that his then-wife Kiran Rao wanted to move out of the country because of “growing intolerance” in India.
Sushant Singh Rajput death

Boycott call against Pathaan started after ‘Besharam Rang’ was was dropped online on December 12.
Kareena will next be seen in director Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller which is based on the book ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’. The film also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. The actor also has director Hansal Mehta’s next untitled film.
