Nowadays, Khesari Lal is a big name in Bhojpuri cinema, and most people believe that his song “theek hai” made him famous throughout the country; however, this is only half the truth. While “theek hai” went viral during the COVID-19 lockdown (and was released the same year), Khesari was still well-known to the majority of people.
In his early days, he sang and appeared in a music video called “Tennis wali Saniya khojali dulha Pakistani”. Back in 2014, he was a sensation thanks to the song “Tennis wali Saniya khojali dulha Pakistani”.

In this video, Khesari can be seen complaining about he is feeling about the fact that Indian Tennis superstar ‘Saniya Mirza’ got married to Shoaib Malik, former Pakistan’s national cricket team caption instead of getting married to any of the Indian players. This song was a hit at his time but he also fell into controversy for the same.
