Emily in Paris: All you binge watchers, you must be ecstatic to know that Season 3 of Emily in Paris started streaming on Netflix on Wednesday, December 21. There’s no wrong way to enjoy this series, whether you’re here to gape at Emily’s (Lily Collins) snazzy outfits and escape with her to some comforting zone, or just because it is something you just can’t switch off.

Here we have dished out a list of other TV shows that centre around young women discovering new sides of themselves, romance, and zippy workplace antics. If you liked Emily in Paris, these are the shows for you!

1. Gossip Girl

This teen drama-comedy based on the book series of the same name follows the lives of privileged teens at a posh Upper East Side private school and their mostly problematic parents.

The drama is narrated by an anonymous blogger. Plus, there also lot of old-internet fodder to enjoy.  Its melodramatic rich-kid teens and the costumes will keep pulling you back. Am I a Blair or a Serena, you will keep asking yourself during the show’s six seasons.

2. The Queen’s Gambit

This miniseries is based on a 1983 Water Tevis novel of the same name and stars the highly acclaimed Anya Taylor-Joy of The Witch fame. She plays Beth Harmon, a young chess player determined to become the greatest in the world. Beth is an orphan and a prodigy, and struggles with drugs and alcohol during her adolescence. It’s a more serious, and more gripping than Emily in Paris. Set in the ’50s and ’60s, it brings out that era’s feel brilliantly. Love the old world charm? This series will meet your aesthetic needs.

3. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Set in the 1950s and ’60s, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel follows a New York City housewife with a knack for stand-up comedy. Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino (Gilmore Girls) there’s plenty of fast-talking banter, but what you’ll really love is the incredible costuming and set design.

Parts of the series is set in Paris.  Rachel Brosnahan in the titular role of Mrs Maisel has given an award-winning performance. So is the case with Alex Borstein who plays her manager Susie. Each episode of this show is spectacular.

4. The Bold Type

Like Emily, The Bold Type is a similar dramedy. Stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, and Meghann Fahy as three twenty-something women working at the fictional fashion magazine Scarlet, the show is Inspired by the life and career of former Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Joanna Coles. The Bold Type explores the challenges young women today face as they attempt to carve out their careers. It also tackles difficult topics. Besides, there is plenty of romance and relationship drama to keep you hooked.

5. Younger

When single mom Liza decides to get back into the workforce when she turns 40, she flunks a bunch of job interviews. What’s the solution? Pretend you’re 26 or so! You can get an entry-level gig at a publishing house. This show does take place in NYC but it has an Emily in Paris vibe about it. Plus it has Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff. Who’s not gonna love it?

6. Love Life

Love Life stars Anna Kendrick, Zoë Chao, and Sasha Compère. The romantic comedy is also an anthology series as each season depicts a different main character as they go through multiple makeups and breakups; from their first date to their last.

Season 1 follows Darby throughout her life and various romances. However, Season 2 follows Marcus Watkins as his marriage gets shaky. Thanks to its focus on romance in the prime of a person’s life, Love Life is a great show for Emily in Paris fans.
