‘Mahabharat’ actor Gufi Paintal, known for portraying Shakuni Mama, dies at 79

Gufi Paintal: Actor Gufi Paintal, known for his role as Shakuni Mama in the television series “Mahabharat,” has passed away, leaving a void in the hearts of his fans and households where he left an indelible impression. The actor had been admitted to the hospital for the past few days, with his health deteriorating significantly. After his condition worsened, Gufi Paintal was shifted to the ICU. However, today, on June 5, 2023, the sad news of the actor’s demise has come to light. According to reports, the last rites of Gufi Paintal will take place at 4 PM.

Reason of Demise

Hiten Paintal, the nephew of Gufi Paintal, informed news agency PTI, “Unfortunately, he is no more. He passed away in the hospital around 9 a.m. His heart failed, and he peacefully passed away in his sleep.” Prior to this, Hiten had informed PTI that his uncle had been facing health issues related to his age. He had said, “He had blood pressure and heart issues. He was unwell for a while, and all of this had been going on for some time. But his condition worsened, so we took him to the hospital for observation.” At that time, Hiten had mentioned that they had been in the hospital for 7-8 days, his condition was critical, but then he had started to stabilize.
