Subi Suresh: Renowned Malayalam actor and TV anchor Subi Suresh passed away today on February 22. The 41-year-old actress was reportedly suffering from liver ailments and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kochi.

Subi, who began her career as a comedian, went on to become a popular anchor and actor in the Malayalam industry. Over the years, she had carved her own niche in the industry and was one of the few women specialising in comedy on both big and small-screen. She had established herself as a comedian and a character artist in Malayalam movies.

Started as a dancer

Known for her quick wit and humour, she started off as a dancer and comedian in various stage shows. She soon went on to host shows like Mazhavil Manorama's Made for Each Other and Surya TV's Kutty Pattalam. She was loved by the Malayali audience. Subi also acted in several popular films like Grihanathan, Thaskara Lahala, Elsamma Enna Aankutty, Drama, Kaaryasthan.
