MAMA Awards 2022: The Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2022 saw huge victories for BTS. With their CD Proof, they not only won the worldwide fan’s choice award but they also won the prize for album of the year. They won the Best Male Group prize over Seventeen, TXT, Stray Kids, NCT Dream, and ENHYPEN in the category. The song “That That” by Suga and PSY won the award of Best Collaboration. Also, the music group won the title of Worldwide Icon of the Year. As J-Hope’s “Rush Hour” with Crush and Suga’s “That That” competed for Best Collaboration, it was practically a BTS vs. BTS situation.
J-Hope won the title of Most Popular Male Artist. The rapper, who this year put out his album Jack in The Box, also showed up on the red carpet in style. He received recognition for Culture & Style as well. Additionally, he made an emotional phone call to Jin and forced him to address the ARMY.
MAMA Awards 2022: Blackpink won the prize for best female group
J-Hope also gave a performance of his song “Future” during the ceremony. The lead singer of BTS, RM, posted a video of J-Hope performing on Instagram and urged him to turn up the volume. However, Seventeen’s “Hot” song helped them win the prize for Best Dance Performance. The prize for the best female group went to Blackpink. At the event, popular singer IU also won prizes.

Jin, who is anticipated to be in boot camp by December 13, would be the first member of BTS to begin their necessary military service. The other band members’ plans haven’t been set in stone yet because their albums haven’t been released. On December 2, RM will release Indigo, which consists of 10 tracks.
