Masaba Masaba S2 Review: Masaba Masaba’s premise is based on a bucketful of courage and mother-in-law. Since when has it been easier to bring one’s life into a world where tweets, likes, loud opinions and canceled culture have become currency for relevance? And to feature a quasi-fictional version of his own life as material for entertainment purposes, can only be said to be a daring decision. So, for starters, famous fashion designer and now actor Masaba Gupta, and her veteran actress mother and glass ceiling breaker Neena Gupta are to be commended – not once, but twice. Because, they are back with a brand new second season of their show. Masaba Masaba S2 is streaming on an OTT platform from 29th July.
Masaba Masaba S2 Review
Masaba Masaba S2 has successfully lived up to the expectations set against it. The writing is fresh, sassy, mostly relatable, with occasional opportunities for introspection and self-reflection. This time around, the real and reel-life mother-daughter-duo has had its fair share of differences, but they have one commonality: the need to re-establish themselves in their respective fields. Masaba started his game mode with his PR manager Nicole (Kusha Kapila) and expanded his label with a wedding collection called House of Shaadi. Not only that, her heart and instincts are also torn between two men: her investor Dhairya Rana (Neil Bhoopalam) and her client Fateh (Arman Khera) who is about to marry Ayesha (Barkha Singh).
Neena Gupta a strong character in the series
Neena Gupta, on the other hand, is eager to go back to the past, as she revamps her popular and much-loved daily soap Fursat with her old flame and co-actor Shekhar Mirza (Ram Kapoor). Women have their fair share of odds and obstacles to conquer, both externally and internally, before they realize that the best way to stay relevant is to honor their own truths in the midst of the chaos. In doing so, they are surrounded by many strong-minded, opinionated, diverse, yet inspirational women, on whom they can continually look back and learn.
