Mili Box Office Collection: While Phone Bhoot performed poorly, Janhvi Kapoor’s Mili and Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi’s Double XL performed even worse. Mili and Double XL, according to trade rumours, would have fared substantially better on streaming services. However, the streaming companies desire a theatrical release in order to gain more influence, which did not work in Janhvi Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha’s favour.

The survival thriller was launched alongside Katrina Kaif’s eerie comedy and Double XL, a collaboration between Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha. All of them are in different genres and have quite distinct storylines, yet none of them have had a successful Box Office opening.
According to Box Office India, “Mili and Double XL opened to horrible collections with Mili being better of the two. Mili and Double XL are both female orientated films and both in that concept / content zone which sometimes had takers before the pandemic but its a huge struggle today. These films are now for streaming but the problem is the streaming giants want a theatrical release so the films are just released for the sake of it when it is known they will not collect.”
Double Xl Box Office Collection Day 1
Double XL box office collection day 1 is estimated to be around Rs 30 Lakhs, according to multiple media reports. The movie is earning much lower than the two other films that are Phone Bhoot and Mili. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi, and Zaheer iqbaal in leading roles. It also has camoes from Kapil Dev and Shikhar Dhawan.
Only films that have anything to offer in terms of big-screen experience are doing well in cinemas, according to the present mood of the movie-going audience. In compared to other recent Bollywood releases, the Hindi-dubbed version of Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara is still doing well in theatres. Even the Diwali releases, Ram Setu and Thank God, are performing poorly in theatres.
