Mother’s Day 2023: Talk of inspiring mothers and you need not go far. Bollywood has an array of supermoms who can be an inspiration to others. They balance parenting and fame in a seamless manner and deserve our full support.
This Mother’s Day, we salute all Bollywood moms who don various hats and fulfill every role and responsibility with perfection.
Here we take a look at five glamorous mothers from B-Town who are successful businesswomen too.
Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a global icon who jas been making headlines in B-Town and Hollywood both. And she is a proud mother to daughter Maltie Marie Jonas. Her first web series Citadel is streaming and the Desi Girl is all set to star in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming film Jee Le Zara. Priyanka started her hair care company Anomaly earlier this year and is also the owner of Purple Pebble Pictures, a production company.
Alia Bhatt
Do not let her petite frame deceive you. Alia Bhatt is the global ambassador for the prestigious Gucci brand. She made a stunning entry as a distinguished guest at the Met Gala. Her daughter Raha Kapoor was born last November. Learning from her own experience, Alia launched her own line of maternity clothing for expecting mothers. She introduced the label as Ed-a-Mama.
Anushka Sharma
With no a filmmaking family, Anushka pushed her way up the Bollywood ladder. She starred in successful films like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, PK, and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. After marriage to cricketer Virat Kohli, she gave birth to baby girl Vamika Kohli in 2021. Anushka and her brother started a production company called Clean Slate Films in 2014. Later, she started her own clothing line called Nush.
Malaika Arora
Supermodel, a serious fitness lover, Malaika Arora is a supermom too. She opened her own yoga studio, DivaYoga, as a result of her passion for physical health. Along with Bipasha Basu and Sussanne Khan, Malaika is the curator for the apparel line on the e-commerce website Label Life.
Shetty Shilpa
Shilpa Shetty, actor and mother of two children, maintains rigorous fitness regimen. Although Shilpa A hugely successful businesswoman, Shilpa owns upscale and opulent Bastian restaurant in Bandra. Shilpa has a variety of business enterprises, including ownership of the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals and the IOSIS chain of opulent spas and salons.
Twinkle Khanna
Twinkle mau not have had a particularly successful and career in the film industry, she proved her mettle in other fields. A satire writer, she has authored three books. She also launched Tweak India, a digital media business. Her production company, Mrs. Funnybones, helped movie Padman in winning together the National Award in 2016. She is also a talented interior designer and runs Gurlein and Manchanda, two design boutiques, in Mumbai.
