A man from Rajasthan has been apprehended by the Mumbai Police on Sunday in connection with an email threatening actor Salman Khan that was received at the latter’s office recently, according to reports by PTI. The accused, Dhakad Ram Bishnoi, a 21-year-old resident of Siyagon ki Dhani in Rohicha Kalan village under the Luni police station in Jodhpur, was out on bail in a case under the Arms Act. Jodhpur’s DCP (West), Gaurav Yadav, said that a team from Mumbai’s Bandra police station had arrived to arrest Bishnoi, and the authorities had provided support to hand him over to the Mumbai Police.
Prashant Gunjalkar lodged the complaint
The complaint about the threat email was lodged at the Bandra police station by Prashant Gunjalkar, who frequently visits the Bandra-based residence of Salman Khan and runs an artist management company. When Gunjalkar was present in Khan’s office in the Galaxy Apartment, he noticed an email had been received from the ID “Rohit Garg.” The sender of the email, written in Hindi, said that “Goldy Bhai” (gangster Goldy Brar) wanted to talk to Salman Khan face-to-face to close the matter, adding, “Agli baar, jhatka dekhne ko milega” (You’ll see something shocking).
Mumbai Police sent their team to Rajasthan
After a detailed technical investigation into the case, the police got information about the accused person’s whereabouts. Following this, a team was sent to Rajasthan, and the man was apprehended, according to a police official. After the threat mail was received, the Mumbai Police registered an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar under sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 506-II (criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
