It’s been two years since Priyanka Chopra and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce, but the two continue to battle questions related to their marriage. Now, Naga Chaitanya, who is currently on a promotional spree of his upcoming film Custody – has opened up about his marriage to Samantha, what he likes about her, and what hurt him the most.
Naga Chaitanya praises Samantha
Naga Chaitanya praised his ex-wife Samantha and said, “Samantha… go-getter, hard worker. Her determination is amazing. If she wants something, she will go get it.”
When he was asked to reveal his favourite films of Samanatha’s, he replied Oh Baby! and Family Man 2 are his favorite works of Samantha.
Naga Chaitanya on his failed marriage with Samantha
Naga Chaitanya also opened up about his failed marriage with Samantha and called it ‘unfortunate phase’. He said, “Whatever happened in my personal life with my marriage, that’s very unfortunate. But I have immense respect for that phase of my life. It is due to the media reportage and how they’ve portrayed everything by speculating and spreading rumours, the whole respect is lost, and diminished in the public eye. This is what hurt me a lot. It was almost a year since the court has given us divorce on mutual consent.”
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha divorce
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha announced their separation in a social media post in 2021, four years after their marriage. The post, which has since been deleted, said, “To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought, Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support.”
