National Sports Day: This day is celebrated in various countries to honour national sports teams and sports traditions. Every year on August 29th, it is observed. It is the birth anniversary of hockey player Major Dhyan Chand in India. Today is the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand Singh, an Indian hockey player who won gold medals in the Olympics in 1928, 1932, and 1936. He was a legendary figure in both Indian and international hockey.

With Ranveer Singh as the lead, this film features an excellent cast of Deepika Padukone, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, and R. Badree. Based on the 1983 Cricket World Cup-winning Indian national cricket team led by Kapil Dev. The film received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, with many praising the cast’s performances.
2. Dangal
Aamir Khan co-stars in Dangal with Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim, Suhani Bhatnagar, and Sakshi Tanwar. It is based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat, an Indian amateur wrestler and senior Olympics coach who taught his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat how to wrestle. Dangal received positive reviews from critics as well as numerous awards.

3. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
The story is based on the life of ‘the Flying Sikh,’ an Olympian who was a Commonwealth Games champion and two-time Asian Games 400m champion Milkha Singh who managed to overcome the massacre of his family and the civil war during the India-Pakistan partition. Farhan Akhtar plays the title character, and Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Meesha Shafi, Pavan Malhotra, Yograj Singh, Art Malik, and Prakash Raj appear in supporting roles. The film got positive feedback from both audiences and critics.
4. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story
It is inspired by the life of former Indian national cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who chose to pursue his dreams despite the odds. The late Sushant Singh Rajput plays Dhoni in the film, which also stars Disha Patani, Kiara Advani, and Anupam Kher. In 2016, the film was launched in 61 countries, making it the most widely distributed Bollywood film ever.

5. Mary Kom
Darshan Kumar and Sunil Thapa co-star with Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. The 2014 biopic follows her journey from becoming a boxer to returning to the sport after having a child and ultimately winning the 2008 World Boxing Championship. Mary Kom was honoured at several award ceremonies all over India.
