Nayanthara and Vignesh: The Tamil Nadu health authorities will be investigating Tamil actress Nayanthara and her director spouse Vignesh Shivan after they made the announcement that they had become parents of twin boys. When asked by reporters about a potential breach of the surrogacy laws, the state’s minister of health responded that they will look into the situation.
After dating for about five years, the pair wed in June of this year. Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara have been collaborating on the film Atlee’s Jawan, and it has been suggested that they may have hired a surrogate mother.
What does the law say?
“By convention, donors must be at least 21 years old and no older than 36. (ova or eggs). We assume that’s how it may have been done, and the director of health services will be asked to check to see if it was done appropriately “said MA Subramanian, the state’s minister of health.

The names of their newborns, Uyir and Ulagam, which stand for life and the world, were also disclosed in the message.
Surrogacy has become a trend in Bollywood after Shah Rukh Khan announced his third child
Since actor Shah Rukh Khan announced the birth of his youngest child, AbRam, surrogacy has become a hot topic. Media reports state that AbRam, the actor’s third child with wife Gauri Khan, was delivered via surrogate in May 2013.
Filmmaker Karan Johar revealed in March 2017 that he had given birth to twins through surrogacy, a boy and a girl.

After taking into account all of the obligations and responsibilities that come with becoming a parent, I made this emotional yet well-considered decision, Mr. Johar stated.
Following a controversy in June of this year with a juvenile being coerced into giving oocytes, the state government implemented stricter regulations.
Laws governing surrogacy were changed in January to prevent commercial exploitation of the practise. According to doctors, Nayanthara and her spouse might have conceived the children prior to the law’s amendment.
