The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has sought remand till October 11 for all the accused, including Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, in court in the Drugs Party case on the cruise. During the debate on the remand of Aryan, Arbaaz and Munmun, ASG Anil Singh said that through the chat it is known that there is complicity of the international cartel. The plot layers need to be opened. Banned substances have been found from them, some more arrests have been made on the information received from them.
ASG said that the accused have used many code names in their chats, we want to decode them, so it needs a detailed investigation. To know the truth more interrogation is needed and for that we need custody. We have arrested one more person today, they are a group. Admittedly, these are bailable offences, but a Bombay High Court judgment has said that all offenses of NDPS are not bailable. He said that this group was acting like a gang. Unless we investigate customers, how can we find out who the supplier is and who was helping with the money?

Advocate Satish Maneshinde for Aryan Khan said, ‘No seizure has happened from me (from Aryan). My friend Arbaaz Merchant has claimed to have got 6 grams, but this is also a small quantity. The rest was not recovered from any of us and I have no connection with anyone. In this case I cannot be linked with complete seizure. I never used any drugs in my entire stay. Drug chat with friends does not mean indulging in drug smuggling.’ Maneshinde said, “Yesterday 2 days custody was sought and I did not file my bail application because today I had mentioned verbally about my intention to argue on bail and I agreed to one day custody Was. When I was abroad, I had some chats in my phone, this is saying that I have links with some international cartel. I never took any drugs during my stay abroad. There is nothing on my record whose photographs have been given to the court, which indicates that I was in contact with the international drug syndicate. All the sections included in the FIR are bailable.’
He said, “One of the grounds for seeking my custody is that they have seized some commercial quantity from other accused but there is a judgment of the Supreme Court that seizure from someone else cannot be a ground for remand of someone else.” My remand should be decided independently. If they have got some chats from my mobile, then at most they can say that I had a connection with someone. There are some WhatsApp chats which may indicate that I am involved, but the Supreme Court judgment last year made it clear that remand cannot be sought if no material is available.”
