Divya faced backlash on social media for her request from director Anurag Kashyap. Anurag Kashyap is renowned director and he is famous for his blockbuster films in Bollywood. Divya Agarwal uploaded a post on her Instagram account requesting work from Anurag Kashyap but netizens trolled the actress.

Sharing the video on Instagram, she wrote in the caption, “his is an open letter to @anuragkashyap10. Call me stupid I’m going to say it anyway ! Kaam Mangungi sabke saamne mujhe koi sharam nahi !”
She is saying in the video, “Hi Anurag sir this is an open letter to you. Dekho 15 saal se hoon industry mein bahaut kaam kiya hai…abhi bhi bahaut kaam mil Raha hai. Mujhe aise offers aa rahe hain building se kood jao, jhagde karo aur reality shows karo, serial karo. No offense maine bahaut kuch kiya hai…bas sir ab I really wanna do something jisme mera Dil lage.”
She shared that she saw him in a workshop and ever since then she decided to work with Anurag Kashyap. Divya further added, “main apni social media ka poora fayda uthake ye open letter aapke paas Dena chahti hoon. I am not saying give me a web show khairat mein. Give me a movie khairat mein..no no no…”

She asked her fans to share this video till it reach Anurag Kashyap. However, Divya Agarwal shared this open letter to get a role but netizens started trolling her for the overacting.
