New on HBO: Several years after the final episode of Game of Thrones, a prequel series titled House of the Dragon is set to premiere this coming week.
The eighth and final season left fans hungry for more. Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon revolves around the Targaryen family and how they first lost control over the Iron Throne.
Not to worry for Indian viewers, while the show is an HBO Max series streaming from August 21, it will also stream on Disney+Hotstar in India from August 22.
Critics and viewers alike are abuzz over the new fantasy show. Creators Martin and Ryan J. Condal have apparently hit it out of the park once more with some calling the prequel even better than Games of Thrones.
House of the Dragon is among the many spin-offs to extend the Game of Thrones universe.
