Oscars 2023: The RRR team has responded to filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s period action blockbuster making history by earning an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song for the film’s song Naatu Naatu. On Tuesday, the official account, RRR Movie, shared a poster on Twitter.

RRR team’s official Twitter account shared their happines on Instagram with the caption, “WE CREATED HISTORY!! Proud and privileged to share that #NaatuNaatu has been nominated for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards. #Oscars #RRRMovie.”
RRR was nominated in the category alongside Tell It Like a Woman’s Applause, Top Gun: Maverick’s Hold My Hand, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Lift Me Up, and Everything Everywhere All at Once’s This Is a Life. This is the third major international honour for MM Keeravaani’s Naatu Naatu, which was written by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.
Keeravani won Golden Globe before Oscars 2023 nominations
Keeravani recently won a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice award for the song earlier this month. Another Critics’ Choice award was given to the film for Best Foreign Language Film. RRR (Rise Roar Revolt), a pre-independence fictional story, follows two real-life Indian revolutionaries in the 1920s. Story revolves around Alluri Sitaraman Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR).
