Pakistani actors Anum Fayyaz and Zarnish Khan leave entertainment industry to follow Islam; Actresses remove all previous posts

A group of women on both sides of the border are leaving the entertainment industry to pursue their religious beliefs, with Pakistani actresses Anum Fayyaz and Zarnish Khan being the latest to join. Although not well-known in India, they are popular faces in the Pakistani film industry, Lollywood. Anum recently announced her departure from the entertainment industry on social media, following in the footsteps of other women who have left the industry to focus on their religion (Islam).

Anum Fayyaz, known for her roles in popular Pakistani dramas, made the announcement on social media. She wrote, “ASALAM O ALIKUM. THIS IS A DIFFICULT MESSAGE TO SEND SINCE YOU ALL HAVE BEEN SO SUPPORTIVE OF MY MEDIA CAREER. I HAVE DECIDED TO LEAVE THE INDUSTRY AND FOLLOW MORE OF AN ISLAMIC LIFESTYLE AND HAVE TAKEN STEPS TO HAVE MY DIGITAL PRESENCE REFLECT THIS LIFESTYLE. I KINDLY ASK YOU ALL TO KEEP ME IN. YOUR PRAYERS AS I GO ON THIS JOURNEY. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR NEVER ENDING LOVE AND SUPPORT.”

Zarnish Khan, another Pakistani actor, has also indicated her exit from the glamour world after performing Umrah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. She removed all of her previous images and reels from Instagram, and her account now features only Islamic posts.

Zarnish Khan, a popular Pakistani actress known for her work in hit dramas such as ‘Aye Zindagi,’ ‘Susraal Mera,’ and ‘Laaj,’ recently shared her journey on Instagram after performing Umrah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
