Pathaan, the action-thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, is set to be released in just a few hours, and fans are overjoyed. SRK’s return film, directed by Siddharth Anand, is flying off the shelves in various parts of India, setting a new year’s advance sales record. The film also surpassed the Day 1 ticket sale record of KGF 2. Pathaan sold more than Rs 5.56 lacs tickets in Hindi. The film is distributed in over 100 countries.
Taran Adarsh tweeted the sales report
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the ticket sales report on Twitter. He wrote on his Twitter account, “TOP 5. Ticket Sales Of *Day 1*… #Hindi and #Hindi dubbed films… NOTE: National chains only. 1. #Baahubali2 #Hindi 6.50 lacs. 2 #Pathaan 5.56 lacs. 3. #KGF2 #Hindi 5.15 lacs. 4. #War 4.10 lacs. 5. #TOH 3.46 lacs.” Pathaan is Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback on the big screen and undoubtedly, SRK is receiving fantastic reviews from the audience and critics. KGF 2 is one of the highest grossing and anticipating film of 2022 with the collection of Rs. 434. 70 crores.
Will Pathaan surpass KGF 2 collection?
KGF 2 also collected more than Rs. 1200 crores globally and South Industry emerged as a competition to Hindi Film Industry. However, Indian films are not doing well but fans are hoping that SRK’s Pathaan can revive the Hindi cinema industry. With the ticket sales of Pathaan, it can reach the mark of Rs. 30 crores on its first day. SRK’s comeback vehicle is receiving good reviews and it is possible that Shah Rukh Khan starrer can give a good start to Indian Box Office in 2023.
