Pathaan trailer: It’s finally here! The much-anticipated trailer of Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham was released on Tuesday, as announced by the makers earlier. Touted as an action extravaganza, Pathaan is scheduled for a Republic Day release. In an Ask SRK session on Twitter, Shah Rukh had revealed Pathaan is a patriotic film to its core.

As expected, Pathaan trailer is everything that fans needed from Shah Rukh Khan. While SRK and Deepika impress with their intense appearance as they perform high-octane action, John Abraham looks menacing in his villanious avatar. Check out the trailer below:
A day before the trailer release, Shah Rukh Khan had shared new posters of all the characters putting their best action foot forward. Sharing the poster, SRK wrote, “Thank you for waiting….ab Pathaan ki mehfil mein aa jao… #PathaanTrailer out TOMORROW at 11 AM! Celebrate #Pathaan with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you on 25th January. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.” Check out below:

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan is scheduled to release in theatres and IMAX on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.Pathaan marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the silver screen after four years. He was last seen in Anand L Rai’s Zero, along with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
Speaking about Pathaan, Siddharth Anand had earlier said that learned from two stylish action films that a hero is only as good as his antagonist. This is why, when the director took on the challenge of bringing Shah Rukh Khan back to the big screen after a four-year absence, he realised it would be difficult to find an antagonist. According to Mid Day, the director saw John Abraham’s character, Jim, as a cool-looking foe who always got in Khan’s Pathaan’s way.
Anand told the tabloid that he wanted Jim to be as strong as the hero in order to raise the stakes of their conflict as he reveals Abraham’s character’s unique appearance. The filmmaker has always believed that the villain’s projection should be at least as large as the protagonist’s.
