Under the #Plants4SSR campaign, Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans planted more than 1 lakh trees to fulfill the late actor’s dream of planting 1,000 trees in his lifetime, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti shared the information on social media.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, who led the campaign from the front, shared a video wherein people from different parts of the country could be seen planting trees in memory of the late actor. Sharing the video on her verified Instagram account, Shweta wrote: “More than 1 lakh trees 🌱were planted across the globe. 🌏 #Plants4SSR Thank you so much for making it happen.🙏❤️🙏” The video also featured Sushant’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande.

Ankita Lokhande also shared a few pictures of herself planting tress on her Instagram account. Sharing the picture, she wrote: Planting plants. It’s our way to remember him by fulfilling his dream.”
Sushant’s close friend Mahesh Shetty also took part in the campaign and shared a picture of himself planting a tree. “Neem has been used traditionally to remove negativity and for healing. Taking baby steps but trying to do all I can to make your dreams come true bhai!!!” he captioned the picture.
Monday marked the three-month death-anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput who died on June 14 at his Bandra residence. To commemorate the day, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti had paid a song tribute to her late brother. Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “It has been 90 Days Bhai left his physical body. This song is dedicated to honor and celebrate his ever-felt presence in our lives. #Justice4SSRIsGlobalDemand”
Shweta had earlier announced the #Plants4SSR initiative, urging actor’s fans to come together and plant as many trees as they can, to fulfill Sushant’s one of 50 dreams. “Can we make this happen? Let’s do it for our Sushant!” she had written.
