Ponniyin Selvan collection: Director Mani Ratnam’s historic movie Ponniyin Selvan : Part 1 is gaining exceptional love from the audience in theatres. According to the latest reports, the film collected rs 100 crore at the box office in tamil nadu. The reports said that the film is likely to cross the amount of Rs 300 crore worldwide on October 5. As October 5 is a public holiday, collections are expected to see a growth. Most of the people will go and watch the film with their families.

Ponniyin Selvan rakes in 100 crore club in Tamil Nadu
Ponniyin Selvan was released in the theatres on September 30 in different languages. The film made over Rs 80 crore on its opening day. On its fifth day, Ponniyin Selvan is collecting massive numbers on box office. According to trade expert Ramesh Bala, the film made to 100 crore club in Tamil Nadu in just five days after its release. PS:1 becomes first film in Tamil Nadu in 2022 to earn over the amount of Rs 100 crore after Vikram, Valimai, Beast and KGF: Chapter 2.

Apart from the Indian box office, Ponniyin Selvan is also performing best in the international market. It becomes the Best Opening for an Indian movie in 2022 in UK, France, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore.
