Pradeep Patwardhan: Renowned Marathi actor Pradeep Patwardhan died due to a heart attack at the mere age of 52. The actor’s death has left the Marathi Industry in shock as he breathed his last at his Girgaum home.
The actor had carved a niche for himself by working in Marathi plays, films and serials. Pradeep Patwardhan was known as a comedian in Marathi cinema.

The actor has been keeping a distance from his films and theatre for some time due to his health issues. Though Pradeep was identified as a comedian, he has also played some serious characters in his acting career. He has also played the role of villain, but the audience liked him more as soon as he did comedy. Therefore, he used to play more comic characters.
Pradeep’s early days
Patwardhan was born on January 1, 1970, and always dreamt of becoming an actor. He has contributed a lot to the Marathi theatre. After starting his career with One Act Play during his college days, he got a chance to work in professional theatre. After this, his film journey started. In the early days, he used to work in the bank and take leave and go for his play.

His character in the play ‘Moruchi Mavashi’ was well-liked by the people. This role had made a home in everyone’s mind. In many films like ‘Navra Maja Navsacha’, and ‘Lavu Ka Lath’, he made a special place in the hearts of the audience by playing memorable roles. The actor was also awarded the All India Natya Parishad Award in 2019.
