Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, the husband of Queen Elizabeth for 73 years passed away at Windsor Castle this morning. He was 99.
“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle,” the Royal Family’s twitter handle said in a post.
The prima facie of his death is assumed to be age related ailments. He was earlier spotted leaving a London hospital on March 16 after a four-week stay for heart procedure.
