Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran met with an unfortunate accident while shooting for his upcoming film ‘Vilayath Buddha.’ The actor sustained a leg injury during an intense fight sequence and is scheduled to undergo a key holder surgery today. As advised by the doctors, Prithviraj will be taking a break from work for a few weeks to ensure a full recovery.

The incident occurred on the sets of ‘Vilayath Buddha’ in Marayoor, Cochin, where Prithviraj was involved in filming a challenging fight sequence. After the incident the actor was in no time rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. The doctor have said that he will be going through a surgery.

As the situation suggests the actor might have to take a 2-3 months break from his tight schedule. However, fans are still waiting for official statement from the doctors or the actor himself.

Apart from ‘Vilayath Buddha,’ Prithviraj Sukumaran has several other noteworthy projects in the pipeline. His much-anticipated film ‘Aadujeevitham,’ a survival drama based on Benyamin’s best-selling novel, has garnered attention despite online leaks. Additionally, the multi-talented actor-director is currently engaged in his upcoming Bollywood venture, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ being shot in Mumbai. In the film, Prithviraj portrays the lead antagonist Kabir, alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the titular roles. Furthermore, he is eagerly preparing to commence work on his ambitious project ‘L2: Empuraan,’ the sequel to his directorial debut ‘Lucifer,’ starring the renowned actor Mohanlal.
