RRR Oscars nominations: Priyanka Chopra, who often addresses herself as a ‘global citizen,’ leaves no chance to put India on the world map. A never-ending inspirations for Indians in the west, Priyanka is always coming back to her roots, extending her support to the diaspora. After hosting India’s Oscar-nominated film, The Chello Show’s screening in LA, she has now done her bit for the RRR, which has received wide-spread praises across the globe.

On Wednesday, Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram stories to shower praises for SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which has bagged two Oscar nominations. She was speaking at the US screening of the film. Sharing a picture of herself from the event, the actor wrote, ““Least I can do to contribute to this incredible Indian film’s journey. Good luck and congratulations RRR, SS Rajamouli, MM Keeravani, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Prem Rakshith (choreographer), Kala Bhairava (singer), Chandrabose (lyricist)…” She also shared another picture from the screening which had her posing with SS Rajamouli and composer MM Keeravani.

Priyanka has a plethora of projects in her kitty. She will next be seen in Hollywood films — Love Again, Text For You and Ending Things. She also has Russo Brothers’ Citadel, starring Richard Madden in her pipeline. On the Bollywood front, she will be seen in Jee le Zaraa, which also features Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
RRR’s Oscar Campaign
The Oscar Campaign of SS Rajamouli’s colonial India-set Telugu action extravaganza recently bagged the Golden Globes for its song Naatu Naatu in the Best Original song category. Up next, the film is focusing on its Oscar campaign. Much to the surprise of everyone, the film was not submitted as India’s official to the Academy by the Indian government.
