Priyanka Chopra: Actor Priyanka Chopra, who arrived in India last week, is in the midst of promoting her upcoming web series titled Citadel. The series features PeeCee alongside Richard Madden and will premiere on Prime Video.
In the meanwhile, there is more good news for Priyanka fans. On Wednesday she now announced her new project with Amazon Studios again. Titled Heads of State, the film will see Priyanka alongside John Cena and Idris Elba. The movie will start rolling in May.
Priyanka announces Heads of State
Priyanka took to Instagram to make the announce ment. She shared screenshots of a report by Deadline, and captioned it, “On to the next. Let’s gooo (sic)!!!” She also tagged Idris Elba and John Cena, director Ilya Naishuller and producer Amazon Studios in the post.
Sharing the news on her Instagram, Priyanka wrote, “On to the next.” Anil Kapoor took to the comments section and dropped a few clapping emojis along with a heart emoji. Lilly Singh wrote, “Hellll yeahhhhhhh.”
John Cena welcomes PeeCee
Priyanka also got a warm welcome from John. “THANK YOU @AmazonStudios for assembling such a dream team. Excited to get to work on #HeadsOfState with @idriselba and welcome the newest cast member, the world renowned @priyankachopra!” he tweeted.
Priyanka replied, “Thank you for the warm welcome @JohnCena I can’t wait to get to set! let’s gooooo.”
According to The Deadline, Ilya Naishuller is directing the film while the script is by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec. The initial draft was by Harrison Query based on Query’s original idea. While the plot details are kept under wraps, the film is initially described as Air Force One meets Midnight Run. Safran Company’s Peter Safran and John Rickard are the producers. EPs are Cena, Elba and Marcus Viscidi.
Comeback to Bollywood
Priyanka’s other projects include Russo Brothers’ Citadel that will premiere on Prime Video on April 28. Her co-star in the series is Richard Madden. Citadel features Priyanka as Nadia Sinh and Richard Madden as Mason Kane.
Apart from the series, she has Love Again lined up too. And this is not all. The Dil Dhadakne Do actor is making a comeback in Bollywood too. She will be sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in Jee Le Zaraa. Farhan Akhtar is the director and may also star in the film.
