Project K: On Thursday, at the San Diego Comic-Con, the eagerly awaited sci-fi film formerly known as Project K finally revealed its new title and mesmerizing teaser. Initially, fans were treated to a first look of the movie featuring Prabhas, which left them unimpressed. However, the makers quickly responded to the feedback and released a newer and more captivating glimpse. The event saw the presence of several prominent stars from the film, including Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Rana Daggubati.
New title: Kalki 2898 AD
The long wait finally ended as Prabhas and Kamal Haasan unveiled the first glimpse of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ at SDCC. The teaser, titled ‘This is Project K: First Glimpse of India’s Mytho-Sci-fi Epic,’ ran for 1 minute and 15 seconds, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The teaser opens with a powerful statement: “When the World is taken over by Darkness, a force will arise. The end begins now.” It immerses the audience into a dystopian future where violence prevails, and hope lies in the hands of valiant warriors like Prabhas’s character. Fans can expect the full release of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in 2024.
Project K created a significant milestone as it became the inaugural Indian film to premiere at the esteemed San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in 2023. The film’s actors and production team were visibly thrilled during the event, and the attendees could feel the excitement in the air.
Director Nag Ashwin’s Vision
Director Nag Ashwin expressed his excitement about showcasing Indian mythology and superheroes on a global stage through ‘Kalki 2898 AD.’ He stated, “India is the home of some of the greatest lore and superheroes ever written. We feel that our film is an attempt to bring out and share this with the world. And Comic-Con gives us the perfect stage to introduce our story to a global audience.”
