Pushpa 2 The Rule Advance Booking: 2.5 Lakh Tickets Sold in India, 7.36 Cr Collected, Will it Challenge Baahubali 2 and Kalki 2898 AD?

Pushpa 2 The Rule Advance Booking: Allu Arjun is turning the crazy up to 11 with the sequel to his 2021 smash hit Pushpa: The Rise releasing this Thursday. In the build up to this sequel the actor has managed to set multiple records with his film's advance booking overseas and promotional events. Now as the film's Advance booking is open to Indian fans, the sales figures for day one are out. As reported by Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 The Rule has sold over 2.5 Lakh tickets in India, with Karnataka leading the sales with an estimated ₹2.28 crores worth of tickets sold.

Pushpa 2 The Rule First Day Advance Booking Numbers

Pre booking for the Allu Arjun starrer started on 30th November 2024. However, 40 shows went on sale a day earlier in Delhi, Kerala, Gujarat and Punjab, with Kerala selling the most that day. But as the bookings opened for all states, the picture is clearer for everyone. On the first day of advanced bookings Pushpa 2 did a business of ₹7.8 crore. That number goes up to ₹13 crore if we include box seats. Talking about the states that are most excited to see Allu Arjun on the big screen. The honor goes to Karnataka with over ₹2.28 (with box seats) crores worth of tickets sold on day 1. Following Karnataka are Maharashtra and Telangana, with ₹2.03 and ₹1.92 (with box seats) crores worth of business for the film respectively.

Pushpa 2 The Rule vs Baahubali 2 and Kalki 2898 AD

After looking at Pushpa 2 The Rule advance booking numbers, it is time to address the elephant in the room. Is the Allu Arjun starrer on pace to break Baahubali 2 and Kalki 2898 AD advance booking record? In truth there is a lot uncertainty around it, reports suggest that Pushpa 2 will sell around 5 lakh tickets in it's advance booking period. Another report from Sacnilk says that the film might become the first film to cross ₹300 crore in global box office on it's opening day. All in all, the dust will settle with the release of the film's opening day figures and we'll find out then if the comparisons to Baahubali 2 and Kalki 2989 AD made sense or not.

Pushpa 2 The Rule has sold done over ₹13 crores in advance bookings with over 2.5 lakh tickets sold. The Allu Arjun starrer is already doing impressive numbers, it will be worthwhile to see how the numbers of this film match up against it's competition. Pushpa 2 The Rule is releasing on 5th December 2024.
