The “king of humor,” Srivastava, was hospitalized at the AIIMS in Delhi after having a heart attack on August 10. The comedian was receiving therapy and had an angioplasty the same day. He was put on a ventilator even as his condition worsened.
Sunil Pal, a fellow comedian, and a friend had previously revealed in an emotional video that Srivastava’s brain had ceased working and that doctors at AIIMS (in Delhi) were unable to do much to rescue him.
In a video posted to Instagram, Pal pleaded with his followers to pray for Srivastava.
