Ram Setu Box Office Collection: Superstar Akshay Kumar has had a tough year so far as all his films failed to make a mark at the box office. However, his Diwali release Ram Setu seemingly became the first choice of the audience as compared to its competitor Thank God. Ram Setu released in the theatres on October 25. It is Akshay’s first hit film after a series of flops.
However, one has to watch how the film fares over the first weekend. It remains to be seen if the film picks up now.

Among Top-10 openers
Khiladi Kumar’s film was expected to open in the Rs 12-14 crores range. However, the film managed to bring Rs 15.25 crores on day 1. The film is now amongst Akshay’s Top-10 openers to date. What makes more interesting is that the film is not running solo this time. It has Sidharth Malhotra-Ajay Devgn starrer Thank God as competition.
Ram Setu has successfully managed to revive Akshay Kumar’s image in the film industry. After a series of flops, this Akshay Kumar-starrer is finally performing well at the box office.

Box office collection
Ram Setu gave a tough fight to Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra’s Thank God, which also released on October 25. Even though the Akshay Kumar-starrer has slowed down, it continues performing well comparatively. Despite mixed reviews, Ram Setu has seen good Day 3 business. On October 27, the film’s single day collection stood at Rs 7.80 crore. Hence, the total collection would now stand at Rs 34.45 crore.
The numbers are hopeful for Akshay Kumar, who has been unlucky in the theatres lately. The actor has had four flops in Bell Bottom (Aug 19, 2021), Bachchhan Paandey (March 18, 2022), Samrat Prithviraj (June 3, 2022) and Raksha Bandhan (August 11, 2022). His only hit during this period was Sooryavanshi (Nov 5, 2021). By that standard, Ram Setu’s opening day was the star’s best this year.
