Rashmika Mandanna trolled: Rashmika Mandanna’s latest remark about the music in Bollywood films versus that in south Indian cinema has enraged some. Rashmika said at the song launch for her upcoming Hindi film Mission Majnu that she grew up listening to Bollywood romantic numbers and that south Indian films have item and dance numbers. Rashmika’s remark about south Indian film music disappointed fans, with some reacting angrily on social media while others agreed with her.

Speaking at the Rabba Janda song launch of Mission Majnu alongside co-star Sidharth Malhotra, Rashmika said, “Bollywood romantic songs were a thing. For me, while growing up, romantic songs meant Bollywood numbers. In South, we have mass masala, item numbers and dance numbers. This is my first Bollywood romantic song. I am so excited because it’s so good (sic).”

Rashmika has been attracting flak ever since her Bollywood debut. Earlier, it was also reported that the Pushpa 2 actor has been banned in her home state Karnataka. Now, netizens are claiming the actor has forgotten the south industry after her Bollywood debut.

I understand not liking the stereotype as Telugu melodies are unmatched, but this bashing is shameful (sic).”
