Ravi Kishan, a famous actor-politician who has worked in various Hindi, Bhojpuri, Telugu, and Kannada films, recently opened up about his experience with casting couch. He is currently the member of parliament from Gorakhpur. He revealed that he had encountered it once in the industry, but managed to escape from the situation.
Ravi Kishan spoke abot casting couch in an interview
During his appearance on the chat show Aap ki Adalat with Rajat Sharma, Ravi Kishan spoke openly about his brush with casting couch. He stated, “Yes, it happened, and it’s something that occurs in the industry. However, I was fortunate enough to escape. My father taught me to approach my work with integrity and never take shortcuts. I was confident in my talent and didn’t want to compromise it for any reason.”
The actor-politician refrained from disclosing the name of the woman who approached him, as she has now become a big shot in the industry. He added, “She had asked me to come for coffee at night. But I realized that people usually prefer coffee during the day, so I understood what she meant and I declined the offer.”
The actor revealed his struggles
Despite facing obstacles, Ravi Kishan remained dedicated to his craft and continued to work hard. Last year, he hosted the singing reality show Swarn Swar Bharat, where he shared his struggles and hardships before gaining fame.
Ravi Kishan’s story sheds light on the pervasive issue of casting couch prevalent in the entertainment industry. His refusal to compromise and stand firm in his beliefs serves as an inspiration to aspiring actors to stay true to their principles and work hard towards their goals.
