Richa Chadha: Indian actor Richa Chadha often lands in trouble for her tweets with political references. In the latest, she has been accused of Indian Army as she replied to Northern Army Commander Lt General Upendra Dwivedi’s statement that the Indian Army is ready to execute orders like taking back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). “Galwan says hi,” the actor said in her tweet due to which she is now at the receiving end of criticism on social media.
Richa Chadha accused of disrespecting Indian Army
Richa Chahdha’s ‘Galwan says hi’ tweet didn’t go well with a section of netizens who believe she is disrespecting the Indian Army, mocking the sacrifice of our jawans during the Indo-China clash in Galwan in 2020. BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa said the tweet was ‘disgraceful’ and called for its immediate withdrawal. “Disgraceful Tweet. Should be withdrawn at the earliest. Insulting our armed forces is not justified,” he tweeted. Meanwhile, many internet users also termed her ‘urban naxals,’ adding it’s a shame that she is ‘mocking the sacrifice of ‘our brave soldiers from Galwan’. Meanwhile, some also went on to add that she will be boycotted from Bollywood. “Hey #RichaChadha, you will repent for this disgusting comment on Galwan bravehearts. Your next movie #Fukrey 3 is releasing next month… Right? Just wait & watch…. agar bheekh na mangwai toh kehna 😠😡BoycottBollywood,” read the tweet.
“Why do we have such illiterate people like #RichaChadha in Bollywood who also seen to be supporting Congress Bharat Jodo Yatra ? Mocking the 20 Indian bravehearts who sacrificed their life for the nation in Galwan? #CongressSupportedBollywood is #AntiBharatBollywood,” read another tweet.
“Galwan says hi, writes #RichaChadha in response to a statement by a commanding officer on POK. Disrespecting those who gave their lives for India. Mocking the #IndianArmy. She proves once again there is no limit to how low this industry can sink. A boycott is all they are worth,” another agitated Twitterati wrote.
