Rishab Shetty’s Kantara, which was released in September this year, is one of the biggest movies of 2022. Film has earned its place in people’s heart and it was seen at the box office as the film collected nearly Rs. 500 crores worldwide. After theatres people are excited to watch Rishab Shetty’s directorial on the streaming platforms. Recently, a new update came that Kantara will be available to stream in Hindi. The filmmaker-actor Rishab Shetty told that the film will be available to stream in Hindi and English on Netflix from December 9. Kantara had previously premiered on Amazon Prime Video in Kannada, Tamil, Telegu and Malayalam on 24th November.

The actor-filmmaker is shown being deluged with messages and questions regarding the release date of the Hindi version of the smash hit in a new announcement video from the streaming app. The delivery man asks Rishab if Kantara is available in Hindi as he receives a parcel at his home. Finally, at the conclusion of the video, he sits down and declares in Hindi, “Chalo, mein aapko baata deta hoon ki meri film Kantara Hindi mein releasing on 9th December on Netflix.” The Kannada movie has since been a huge hit, coming in second place to KGF: Chapter 2 in terms of box office revenue.
Earlier this week, Rishab Shetty announced that the song Varaha Roopam would be modified in the OTT versions of the movie. The Kerala-based band Thaikkudam Bridge filed a lawsuit against Rishab and the producers, Hombale Films, claiming that the song was lifted identically from Navarasam. The creator prevailed in the legal battle, and Rishab declared over the weekend that the song would eventually be reinstated in the movie after numerous viewers and fans raised their concerns.
