Ronit Roy made headlines with his interaction with the Swiggy driver and he slammed the popular delivery brand. He shared an incident on his Twitter (now known as X) account and revealed that the driver was riding on the wrong side of the road. He also questioned the brand if they care for the lives of their workers.
Ronit Roy Slams Swiggy
After “almost killing” a worker of the online meal ordering and delivery service Swiggy, actor Ronit Roy posted a message. Ronit posted about a delivery man riding an electric moped on the wrong side of the road onto oncoming traffic. He asked if Swiggy gave a damn about their life.
Ronit wrote, “@Swiggy I almost killed one of your riders. They definitely need instructions on riding. Riding those small electric mopeds doesn’t mean that they ride on the wrong side of the road onto oncoming traffic. But then, Do you even care for their lives or is it just business as usual?”
The delivery service reacted to his tweet and wrote, “Hey Ronit, we expect our delivery partner to follow all traffic rules and have noted this to be looked into, do share any details if available for the necessary action to be taken.”
About his life
Ronit had reaffirmed his marriage vows on his anniversary in December of the previous year. In December of last year, he and his spouse, Neelam Bose Roy, commemorated their twentieth wedding anniversary. At a Goan temple, they remarried to commemorate the event. On Instagram, the actor posted pictures and videos.
