RRR: The Western critics’ awards continue to be dominated by RRR, SS Rajamouli’s masterpiece featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the leading role. On Sunday evening, MM Keeravani, the movie’s composer, won Best Original Score at Boston Society of Film Critics. As it prepares its campaign for the Golden Globes and subsequently the Academy Awards, both of which will be held early next year, this isn’t the movie’s first victory in the US.
RRR wins accolades
RRR continued to win big around the globe, strengthening its position for Oscars. In yet another feat, the magopus emerged as a winner as MM Keeravani, the movie’s composer, won Best Original Score at Boston Society of Film Critics. Taking to Twitter on Monday, Boston Society of Film Critics Circle wrote, “WINNER, Best Original Score: RRR (by M. M. Keeravani), Runner Up: WOMEN TALKING (by Hildur Guðnadóttir)”

About the film
RRR features Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in leading role. The film also has cameos from Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. RRR is a fictional story based on the lives of two Telugu liberation fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. RRR, which was theatrically released in March, earned more over 1,100 crore at the box office worldwide. The movie’s Hindi version debuted on Netflix on May 20 and quickly rose to the position of most-watched Indian film on the platform globally.
