Saif Ali Khan has reportedly rejected a big budget South Indian film. The actor who will next be seen in Om Raut’s Adipurush was offered Koratala Siva’s next with Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor in the leading roles. The actor was roped in to play the lead antagonist in the film, India Today reported citing sources. However, the actor seems to have opted out of the project for reasons which remain unknown.
Janhvi Kapoor to make South debut with NTR 30
Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor will be making her south debut with the film. She will be seen playing the leading lady alongside Jr NTR in the film. The makers had dropped Janhvi’s first look from the film on March 6, which coincided with her birthday. “It is finally happening Can’t wait to set sail with my favourite @jrntr,” Janhvi captioned the post as she dropped the post revealing her first look.
Jr NTR and Koratala Shiva
Jr NTR and Koratala Shiva have previously worked together on Janatha Garage. Spekaing at the launch event of NTR 30, the filmmaker stated, “ I am working with Jr NTR for the second time after Janatha Garage. I am very fortunate to work with my brother again. Jahnvi is the female lead in this film. The film is set in the forgotten coastal lands of India. The men in these lands are closer to the beasts than human beings. They don’t fear Gods or death. What do they fear for? Let’s wait and see. It’s going to be a great emotional ride. I promise to my fans and everyone that this is going to be my best work ever.”
Jr NTR on NTR 30
After the massive success of RRR, fans have been demanding an update on the film. However, the actor had asked fans not to demand updates as it puts a lot of pressure on other people.
“Sometimes, when we’re working on a film, there isn’t much information to share. We can’t keep sharing updates on a daily or hourly basis. As much as I understand your excitement and the urge, sometimes all of this leads to a lot of pressure on the producer as well as the filmmaker. Due to the pressure, sometimes we end up sharing an update that doesn’t have much value which upsets the fans even more,” he said.
Recently, the actor also dropped a new video as he began shooting for the film. The video begins with the NTR Jr voicing the words: “Aa Raha Hoon Main (I am coming).
