Maya, Sam Manekshaw’s daughter, shared with Indian Express that she has seen ‘Sam Bahadur’ twice and discussed her thoughts on the film.

Sam Manekshaw’s daughter reviews film:

Maya said while speaking to Indian Express, “They have made the film to make the country proud of whatever it was. But, the time that I tear up, every time, I’ve seen the film twice now and I teared up both times, is the last two seconds of the film when you turn to the audience and you’re smiling. That just kills me every time.”

About the film:

The biographical film “Sam Bahadur” portrays India’s inaugural Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, and is directed by Meghna Gulzar. In addition to Vicky Kaushal, the cast includes Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, marking a reunion with the director of “Raazi.”

Sam Babadur Movie Review:

“Sam Bahadur” is a gripping tribute to the legendary Indian military figure, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The film skillfully chronicles his remarkable journey, portraying his leadership during critical moments like the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Vicky Kaushal’s posthumous performance as Sam Manekshaw is stellar, capturing the essence of the charismatic and strategic military genius. The narrative seamlessly weaves through Manekshaw’s military career, personal challenges, and the geopolitical landscape of the time. Director Meghna Gulzar ensures a balanced portrayal, blending historical accuracy with emotional depth. The film excels in highlighting Manekshaw’s wit, resilience, and pivotal role in shaping India’s history. Though the pacing may falter at times, “Sam Bahadur” triumphs as a poignant and inspiring ode to one of India’s most iconic military leaders.
