Sharing this, Sanjana wrote, “It’s John Green himself! Could not resist sharing this moment with you all. And cannot be more annoyed with me for missing this beautiful message for over three months. Thank you for these unfathomable words, John. I will simply never be able to articulate what this means to me. It takes away so much heartache and pain.”
Sanjana played the role of a cancer patient in the film who falls in love with Manny, played by Sushant Singh Rajput.
The film marked directorial debut of Mukesh Chhabra and is a remake of the 2014 Hollywood hit The Fault In Our Stars, which is based on Green`s 2012 bestseller of the same name.
Dil Bechara was released on Hotstar post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and broke all time records of viewership.
