Sarfira Trailer: In the upcoming film “Sarfira,” which is helmed by Sudha Kongara, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar makes a spectacular return. The movie narrates the inspirational tale of a villager with big dreams against the backdrop of the aviation industry and startup culture. Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to share the trailer of “Sarfira,” writing, “Sapne woh nahi jo aap sote huye dekhte hain, sapne woh hote hain jo aapko sone hi nahi dete. Ek aise hi sapne ki kahani hai Sarfira.” (“Dreams are not what come to you in your sleep; they are the reason you cannot sleep. Such is the story of Sarfira.”)
The Plot: Dreams of Affordable Air Travel
In “Sarfira,” Akshay Kumar’s character dreams of launching his own airline to make air travel accessible to the ‘aam aadmi’ (ordinary people) from his village. Facing numerous challenges, including financial hurdles and skepticism from the industry’s bigwigs, he remains undeterred. Paresh Rawal portrays a business tycoon owning the country’s largest airline, who initially dismisses Akshay’s ambitions. However, this only fuels Akshay’s determination to succeed on his own terms, even considering offering flight tickets for just ₹1 to make air travel affordable for everyone.
The Inspiration: From “Soorarai Pottru” to “Sarfira”
“Sarfira” is the Hindi adaptation of the critically acclaimed Tamil film “Soorarai Pottru,” directed by Sudha Kongara and starring Suriya. Akshay Kumar steps into the shoes of a man driven by an unyielding spirit to achieve his dream, much like Suriya’s character in the original.
