Shaakuntalam release date: Samantha Ruth Prabhu will next feature in multi-lingual mythological drama Shaakuntalam. The release date of the film was announced on Monday. The film was previously scheduled to hit theatres in November, 2022, but was postponed to review creative aspects. Now, the makers have finally unveiled the new release date. The film will now release in 3D.

Samanatha will star in the titular role in mythological drama Shaakuntalam. A new release date of the film was announced on Monday. About Shaakuntalam
The film is written and directed by award-winning director Gunasekhar and is based on Kalidasa’s acclaimed Sanskrit play “Abhijnana Shakuntalam” (“Rudhramadevi”).
“Shaakuntalam,” billed as a whimsical tale, revolves around the epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant, played by Samantha from “Yashoda” and Dev Mohan from “Sufiyum Sujatayum,” respectively.
Dil Raju presents the film through Sri Venkateswara Creations in collaboration with Gunaa Teamworks, and Neelima Guna produces. The film’s cast also includes Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Dr M Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, and Jisshu Sengupta.
“Shaakuntalam” will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, among other languages.
