When Karan Johar Made Shah Rukh Khan wear Tight Clothes
As Shah Rukh Khan was playing the character of a college-going student in KKHH, his clothes were influenced by the age group of that time. But, differing from the popular opinion of his cool looks, Shah Rukh didn’t like wearing tight clothes. While explaining his embarrassing moments in this film, he said, ‘The costumes I have been made to wear when I was playing the young.’ He further added ‘Mujhe Lagta tha meri jeans zyada tight hain, meri T-shirt zyada tight hai.’ For your information, on the occasion of 25th anniversary of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Manish Malhotra revealed that he designed the outfits for the film. He went shopping for the main character in London.
The Way Shah Rukh Khan had to Talk and Walk
Apart from Shah Rukh Khan‘s tight clothes as Rahul for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, he also didn’t like the way he talked. The actor revealed in the interview that the way he had to play ‘stud’ in the movie made him embarrassed. He said, ‘I’m supposed to college stud in my youth. I had say, walk and talk and do certain things which I get embarrassed to do.’
When a Scene Didn’t Make it to the Film
Shah Rukh also mentioned a scene that couldn’t make it to the film. The actor throws the ball from the mid-court to the basket in the back and the ball goes right into it. He felt that the scene was great. He said, ‘Mai ball apne pichhe see fekta hu half court see or vo basket mei chali jaati hai, that’s a great incident.’ However, from the clip, it can not be said that he didn’t like that.
When he mentioned He was too old for KKHH
Apart from the clip shared by Karan Johar, once SRK mentioned that he was too old to play a teenager. SRK talked about his age when he joined the film industry. He also expressed that never wanted to do a love story. He said, ‘When I joined the film industry, I was 26. I said I will never do a love story. I finished college, I am not gonna go to college in films. Cut to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.’ He further added, ‘I was 32, my first baby was going to be born. So I have done it all.’
According to India Today, Farah Khan mentioned that she wanted Shah Rukh to play college guy in Main Hoon Na. But, she redid the whole script for him.
