Shah Rukh Khan promises to look into high prices of son Aryan Khan’s brand, says he also doesn’t get it ‘sasta’

Shah Rukh Khan: There was lot of excitement when Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan launched his own luxury streetwear brand, D’YAVOL X some time back. However, people were disappointed to see the exorbitantly high prices of the jackets and T-shirts of the brand.

Aryan unveiled the collection on April 30 and daddy SRK actively promoted it. In fact, Shah Rukh also featured in Aryan’s first ad for his brand.

On Friday, May 5, Shah Rukh Khan reacted over the high prices of his son’s products in an Ask SRK session.

Fans questions SRK

Shah Rukh Khan hosted an #AskSRK session on Twitter soon after announcing the new release date of his upcoming film, Jawan. The Atlee directorial is all set to hit theatres on September 7 now. Even as the session was underway,  a fan pointed out Aryan Khan’s clothing brand’s high prices. He asked, “iamsrk ye dyavol x ke jacket thoda sa 1000- 2000 wale bhi bana do…. Wo wale khareedne me to ghar chala jayega #AskSRK (sic).”

To this, Shah Rukh Khan hilariously replied, “Yeh D’Yavol X wale log mujhe bhi sasti nahi bech raheâ€æ.kuch karta hoon..!! (sic).”

30 jackets fetch Rs 60,16,650!

Shah Rukh Khan sported a black hoodie with an ‘X’ in red around his chest during an IPL match. Fans also spotted his son Aryan Khan wearing a similar ensemble several times. It was only later that they realized that the superstar was a model for his son’s co-owned brand of luxury streetwear.

The X collection was made available to buyers on April 30, with each jacket priced at Rs 2,00,555. Within minutes after the collection made live, the signature piece was sold out! As many as 30 pieces were sold for Rs 60,16,650!

Aryan Khan’s debut

Repoprts said that Aryan Khan is writing a script for Amazon Prime Video and a feature film. Aryan himself announced that he had completed writing his first project, a web series. He will be the director and the showrunner of the series. Titled Stardom, the shooting for the same has already begun. This series will consist of six episodes, according to reports. An official confirmation on the same is awaited. It is backed by SRK and Gauri’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
