Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly received a death threat, following recent incidents where similar threats were made to actor Salman Khan. The Bandra Police Station in Mumbai has swiftly filed an FIR, treating the situation with utmost seriousness. While investigations are underway, it’s currently uncertain if there is any connection with Lawrence Bishnoi, a known figure linked to recent threats against Salman Khan. Here’s everything we know so far about the unfolding case.
Mumbai Police Takes Immediate Action
According to sources, the death threat against Shah Rukh Khan was made over a phone call in which the caller demanded Rs 50 lakh from the actor. This prompted the Mumbai Police to act immediately, registering a case under sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the Bombay National Security Act (BNS). Currently, the police are leaving no stone unturned to trace the origins of this call, ensuring the safety of the high-profile actor and working to prevent any potential harm.
Call Traced to Raipur, Chhattisgarh
The investigation took a new turn when authorities reportedly traced the call back to Raipur in Chhattisgarh. Following this lead, a team from the Mumbai Police has traveled to Raipur to collaborate with local authorities in probing the case. In Raipur, the police identified a suspect named Mohammad Faizan Khan, who is said to be an advocate. Faizan Khan claimed his phone had been lost on November 2nd, three days before the threat call was reportedly made to Bandra Police Station on November 5th.
Civil Lines CSP Ajay Kumar in Raipur stated that the Mumbai Police issued a notice to the accused. At this point, however, there has been no official confirmation on whether an arrest has been made. The police are currently examining all angles, including the possibility that Faizan Khan’s lost phone might have been used by someone else to make the threatening call.
