Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has appointed advocate Satish Maneshinde to represent his son Aryan Khan in the Mumbai cruise drug case. The high-profile lawyer will be defending the star kid before the court against the charges pressed against him by Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB).
Satish Maneshinde, a 56-year-old lawyer, based in Mumbai, has had quite a history with Bollywood. From Salman Khan to Sanjay Dutt and most recent Rhea Chakraborty, he had presented many celebrities before the court.
Dutt, who was arrested in 1993 blast case, was earned a bail by Satish Manshinde, even as the actor was pressed with severe serious charges. Becoming a Bollywood favourite since then, he also secured a bail for superstar Salman Khan in the 2002 drinking-and-driving case. Later, Salman Khan was acquitted by the court.
Satish Maneshinde has been representing actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik who were arrested by the NCB in a drug case last year, after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. They have both been granted bail by the court.
For the uninformed, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested on Sunday after the Narcotics Control Bureau raided a rave party onboard Cordelia’s Empress Cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday.
The NCB has alleged that they had seized 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy) and Rs 1.33 lakh in cash from the accused. Aryan Khan was sent to NCB’s custody for a day by a Mumbai court on Sunday.
